On 2 May 2024, the biggest night on the Middle East live events industry calendar
\nreturns for its sixth year to recognise the incredible achievements in the sector
\nover the past 12 months.<\/p>\n

After our record-breaking 2023 event, which saw 591 of the industry descend on
\nHard Rock Caf\u00e9 Dubai, the 2024 event is set to bigger and better than ever.<\/p>\n

With this year being the first awards under our new TPiMEA moniker, we\u2019ve made
\nsome significant changes behind the scenes to bring the awards closer to its
\ninternational forbearer, the hugely successful and long-running TPi Awards,
\nwhich has been taking place in the UK for 23 years.<\/p>\n

The most notable change is to the voting process, which has been tweaked
\nto ensure fairer representation throughout the industry, with the
introduction of the TPiMEA Academy, comprised of last year\u2019s winners alongside other
\nprominent industry figures. Once the shortlist has been decided, the TPiMEA Academy
\nselection will combine with the public vote to decide the winner of each category.<\/p>\n

There have also been some changes to this year\u2019s categories with the
\nlikes of Sound System Designer of the Year, Event Safety Advisor of the Year,
\nShowcaller of the Year, and Comms and Networking Engineer of the Year
\nadded and some other categories altered to better represent the different
\ndisciplines that go into creating the region\u2019s biggest and best live events.
\nThe Green Award \u2013 which requires companies to submit an entry demonstrating their
\nachievements in the field over the past 12 months \u2013 also returns for a
second year after making its debut in 2023.<\/p>\n
